Hi Christian
Thanks for the post; I love MIDI Yoke but haven't installed it in a long time.
RackAFX has MIDI IN by default; it listens all the time. If you watch the videos (Write a plug in ...) you can see how to use a MIDI controller to control the UI elements - every control can be MIDI-ized; it also works in VST when you use the "Make VST Compatible" option. You can also receive and deal with MIDI messages using the functions midiNoteOn, midiNoteOff, etc... (look in the .h file for your plugin).
I have thought about adding a feature to let you turn off "Listen to MIDI" in case of conflicts. This would happen at both the RackAFX level, and your Plug-In level.
What do you think?

I think it would be a useful feature. I'm curious. Are there further features you would like to integrate in RackAFX in the future?
BTW now that I have uninstalled Midi Yoke I can enjoy this masterpiece of software!
It really helps me to focus on the signal processing. Your book should be obligatory at our university.
