Saving a Project With Some Other Name

I'm trying to start a new project based in a previous one, but I can't find any way of loading a project and then saving it with some other name. It seems that once I choose a RAFX2 project name, I'm stuck with it.

Is there any easy way of re-using a project with some other name?

You can back up the project, which creates a usable copy, but no strings are changed (brute force changing strings is dangerous and I've been burned by it).

Another option, though not ideal, is to create a new project. Then, use File -> Copy UI Controls from Project and browse to the old project, and click on the .PRJ file. This pulls in all the GUI parameter stuff.

Then, you can swap out your PluginCore.h and plugincore.cpp files. I had to do this quite a bit working on the new synth plugins.

There are low level and more complex reasons for this that involved bundle ID strings and 4-character magic codes for AU and VST3 that make copying the project more difficult that is should be.
