Bought the 2nd edition book, downloaded & installed RackAFX 7 and FFTW.Â
Searched the forum.
Now I'm wondering if multi-channel support was ever added or is still on the roadmap?
My whole thing is surround. Currently working on up to 7.1.4 for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
Looking forward to all the learning in any case but the utility will be limited for me if it's only stereo (unless there is some way to fake it with one channel for side chain and one for mono; a separate plugin for each audio channel).
I need a mastering limiter for 5.1 through 7.1.4 (or more?) and would also like to try to port my c++ stereo to surround upmixer into RackAFX/ASPiK so as to make plugins, vs a standalone app.
Thanks,
Glenn
If you want multi-channel, then the best option is to export your project as ASPiK. VST3 and AAX have numerous multi-channel settings, so many of them that it is difficult to shoehorn that into RackAFX.Â
You can then use the VST3 and/or AAX documentation to setup your multi-channel plugins, and it can be very tricky depending on what you are trying to do.
VST3 supports more channel routings, but it seems that AAX supports more Ambisonics routings.
