Hi Will,

I just got a copy of your new book and updated my version of ASPiK to the latest build today (1.6.1).

I created a new project using ASPiKreator for VST3 and built it using cmake for Visual Studio 15 2017 x64.

Everything seemed to build fine, however, I noticed that the PluginObjects folder is missing from the directory.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Keesh

Wow - thanks for reporting this. The PluginObjects folder is empty for newly created ASPiK projects, so there is nothing to copy and this has screwed up the Git repository, which does not like to copy blank directories, and therefore is missing from the ASPiK PluginTemplate. I will need to update this ASAP so that this folder is is put back in place, even though it is empty.

Due to potential copyright issues, I had to leave the fxobjects.h and fxobjects.cpp files out of the ASPiK release BUT you can get them with RackAFX7 (just create a blank project and the PluginObjects folder will be there, populated with the files you see in the new book).

I just checked the ASPiKreators and the Mac version is OK - the Windows version uses the PluginTemplate folder as its basis. So, you can create a new folder in parallel with the PluginKernel and CustomControls named PluginObjects. From that point on, the ASPiKreator for Windows will then copy that folder. If you populate it with the fxobjects.h and fxobjects.cpp files (and the others you see in the RackAFX7 project) then they will be copied as well.

I am actually tied up with business for the next couple of days, but will try to have an ASPiK update by the end of the week if possible. Thanks again for reporting this anomaly.

Will

Hi Will,

Thanks for getting back to me. I will snag the fxobjects files from RackAFX7.

Kind regards,

Keesh
