Hi
Having messed around with Flowstone for a few years (I find it still awesome for making concepts of DSP workflows!) and being very happy and thankful for the opportunity to use RackAFX to code VST's, I have a question concerning the possibility for simple inter-process communication:
How can I synchronize certain parameters of multiple instances of my vst?Â
For instance I've loaded the same compressor vst on 30 tracks in my mix and I would like to set the threshold value for all of them simultaneously. BUT simultaneously I have another project open in the same DAW, which shouldn't be influenced by this parameter change.Â
Is this somehow possible to achieve via using the host's internal callback? Maybe with a kind of global variable? Is it possible without creating an extra mapped file?
(Using Flowstone it kinda worked with global variables in ruby, but it was very cpu and ram consuming...)
Do you have some ideas?
Thanks & all the best
Clemens

This (of course) will be different for each API. In this case, you might want to ask the VST3SDK User Forum that Steinberg hosts. I'm not sure what they will say - they may say you can't or you should not do it. The Forum is here:
