Hello,
First of all, I'm Edoardo, nice to meet all of you!
I'm a developer and I started few months ago to be interested to build Digital Effects for the DAWs. I Bought your awesome book, and now I'm ready to build my first EQ.
Now I'm trying to export one my project using CMake but during the process I get the error: "Uknown CMake command "smtg_setup_universal_binary" inside the CMakeLists.txt file in the base folder of the VST3 SDK.
Could this error depend from the newest SDK Version from Steinberg (Version 3.6.9)?
I cannot able to find the older version online to test with
Can you help me?
Thanks!

FYI: this has been fixed and updated in the latest release v6.9.1.0; it requires VST3 SDK 3.6.9.
Steinberg made the following changes:
1) they added some CMake modules that needed to be added to the CMakeLists.txt file in the exported project - no big deal.
2) they added copying a symlink (shortcut) of the VST3 plugin into the MacOS default VST3 plugin folder (Mac only); my version of the CMake files actually copied the plugin rather than create a shortcut to it; in order to preserve as much of the VST CMake functionality from Steinberg, I have removed my plugin-copy mechanism for VST3 - the VST2 plugins are still copied as with the last release. When you package your MacOS VST3 plugin for users, make sure you grab the actual VST3 plugin, and not the symlink that Steinberg copies!
