Trouble With Reverb Module

Hey Guys,

Has anyone else had any issues with the Comb Filters from the reverb module? Perhaps there is a simple issue your students have come across Will?

I've triple checked and crawled through my code, changing the wet/dry output to the next stage of the filter outputs, until i've found it's breaking coming out of the comb filters. It actually breaks the output entirely when the comb output is put into the output equation (not even the dry signal comes out). It has me totally stumped 0.o

Anyways the book has been amazing, thanks will!

Hi Jake

Hmmm - no I have never had a problem with the comb filters or the reverb module; I think it sounds great.

What is your setup? What OS, which RackAFX, Visual Studio, etc.. and what are the symptoms?

Hey Will thanks for the reply,

I'm using Juce & OSX Xcode for the programming, i've simply included all the classes from the rackAFX version of the reverb, up until now i haven't had any issues.

Symptoms wise, everything is compiling no problem. When i first compiled the plugin i was getting no audio output at all, not even the dry signal. Because theres a different output variable through every stage of the filtering, I just rewrote the wet/dry equation using each stage of the filtering from the top until i found the problem. The plugin and wet/dry work all the way up to the inputLPF, but as soon as i try to combine any of the comb filter outputs (normal or lowpass) to the wet/dry equation, audio output stops completely. very strange since it seems the dry signal would get through regardless of any issues of the filtering.

I'm not sure if this is one you'll be able to help out with, but just wanted to see if anyone else had run into the same problems

thanks either way! Laugh

Hi Jake,

first thing which comes to my mind for filters and "no output" are uninitialized buffer variables. Did you initialize the filters correctly?
