The new AAX SDK 2p3p2 does not explicitly list VS2109 as a supported compiler and does not include any VS project files for VS2019.Â
However, I have tested it with ASPiK SDK 1.6.3 without major issues. Some notes:
1. make sure to compile the AAX Libraries with VS2019; if these libraries compile correctly, then you will likely be OK for plugins
2. the AAX SDK references some added requirements for VS2017 here:
https://www.willpirkle.com/forum/aax-and-aspik/vs-2017-and-aax-sdk-2p3p2/#p2494
These appear to be valid requirements for VS2019 as well.Â
3. the CMake generator for VS2019 does not use the appended "Win64" so the line is shorter:
> cmake -G"Visual Studio 16 2019" ../
This should allow you to compile AAX with VS2019. However, because AVID is strict about their "supported compilers" you should also access the AAX Developers Forum to make sure you don't have any other issues; I am sure other developers want to migrate to VS2019 as well.
