Is there a way that the knob in the GUI can be set to work in log or volt/octave modes too like the sliders in RackAFX? I've set the sliders to be volt/octave but the knobs in the GUI Designer doesn't seem to work the same way.

Hi Will, how are you?

I have a similar question about some of the slider properties that do not (yet) seem to translate to the new GUI Designer. I noticed, just as Hector did, that the ‘log’ and ‘1volt/octave’ do not work any more when applied to a control in the GUI Designer. And today I messed around with the LED meter object (which is pretty awesome btw!) and noticed that the ‘meter attack/release time’ did not work in the GUI Designer either… Is there a trick to get this to work?

All the best,

JD

I am addressing the log/volt-octave issue in the next big RAFX revision, should be out by end of May - this includes some enhancements to the LED meters as well.

Currently, the attack/release times for the meters are hard-coded to the default values. Getting this data into the VSTGUI meter object is tricky, but I am working on it.

Standby for a few weeks - university semester just ended so I have more time to work on RAFX.

Hi Will,

That’s great :) It would be the finishing touch on a signature (demo) plug-in I’m building for an artist/producer I know… Using RackAFX and the GUI designer really made it fast and easy to sketch out his ideas in working code and gui!

Cheers! JD

This has been addressed and fixed in RAFX v6.6 -- log and volt/octave controls work properly with the GUI Designer as well as all VST2/3 and AU versions.
