I'm a new user of RackAFX and I'm very eager to learn how to develop plugins, as its always been a dream of mine. I downloaded Visual Studio 2008 and start it up as a C++ project (not the general development settings). When I go to create a new project in RackAFX, I receive the error:“Error spawning ‘cl.exe'". I know Will touched upon this error in the FAQ but I was still unclear on how exactly to download the C# module. Could I simply just restart Visual Studio 2008 and choose general development settings instead of C++? Could someone perhaps provide a link for where I can download the C# module add-on? Not exactly sure where to go from here but its exciting having to troubleshoot my first plugin related problem

you should re-install / change the installation of VS2008 and check the C# options to be installed. It should already be part of your VS2008 installer, no need to download additional packages. This is an error of the Microsoft VS2008 installer which seems to have stored the C++ compiler (cl-exe) in the C# sub-installer (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969866).
Another options would be to install the more up-to-date Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition - it's Visual Studio 2013 Professional for free, if you meet the License Terms (e.g. not to be used by companies, but free for commercial use by freelancers) .
