Hey Will,

I was trying to open a project (the ToneBone guitar effects pedal) I had completed last year on RackAFX. It is throwing me some errors as given below :

Error 1 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: static void __cdecl CRAFXPlugInContainer::createRAFXPlugInContainer(void *,class CPlugIn * (__cdecl*)(void),unsigned long,unsigned long,unsigned long,unsigned long,unsigned long,unsigned long,unsigned long,unsigned long,char * *,int)" (?createRAFXPlugInContainer@CRAFXPlugInContainer@@SAXPAXP6APAVCPlugIn@@XZKKKKKKKKPAPADH@Z) referenced in function _DllMain@12 C:\Users\samarth\AppData\Roaming\RackAFX\RackAFXProjects\PedalProFinal\PedalProj\RackAFXDLL.obj 1 1 ToneBone

Error 2 error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals C:\Users\samarth\AppData\Roaming\RackAFX\PlugIns\ToneBone.dll 1 1 ToneBone

I deleted the older versions of the plugin from my plugins folder and am using VS2010, on Windows 7. Any suggestions on how to proceed on this one ??

Update from Will -

The CRAFXPlugInContainer object is defined in RAFXPlugInContainer.h so first make sure that file is present. If not, you can copy it from a new project.

The object is implemented in the Sock2VST3 lib file; the version should match your compiler, VS2015 = _14 in the lib file name. It should also be using this newest lib file.

There have been numerous fixes since 6.7.0.4 and the current version is 6.8.0.4 so you may want to upgrade directly to that one.

When you open the project, you will get a note that files are copied and "code has been synchronized" and after that you should be good to go.

Also, you can use New Project as an acid test to see the dates on the current files that should also be present in your project folder (plugin.h/.cpp, all the lib files, etc...)
